What is the better bet for a tourist, visiting Tokyo & Shanghai or Bangkok on its own?

Ok I know you said you wanted it to be inexpensive but I personally would go to Tokyo & Shanghai. I see it as, “We have one life, enjoy it while you can.”

The train to shanghai from beijing but the train to fly in my opinion saves time if.
