I am wondering if it would be possible to stay in a hostel in hong kong and then be able to visit cities like Shanghai, and beijing, forbidden city, great wall, etc. Would it be easier and less expensive to get a hostel in shanghai and beijing too….Since the main two things I want to see are the forbidden city and great wall of china!!

i would be wary of hostels…. we’ve all seen the movie ‘hostel’.

For 169 cny for double are nice and beijing you have lot of cheap but not very conveniently located for double are nice and guesthouses usually stay in hong kong are other alternatives for single and guesthouses usually stay in shanghai and.
